Start a Baby Bank

Having a newborn can be an exciting but exhausting period of time. A baby bank is a great way of supporting new and expecting parents by providing Starter Packs with essentials for mums and babies, and connecting them with a supportive community who are experienced in the joys and trials of parenthood.

Ps and Gs Church in Edinburgh have found that through reaching out to the local community in this way, local schools have also gotten in touch to refer people, so it has been a great way of serving.

They run several babies and toddler sessions during the week; serving tea, coffee, and biscuits. Starter packs include nappies, water wipes, soothers, essential clothes (0-3 months), newborn bottles, baby wash, prams and more.
